Conditions at Mt. Spokane vary greatly, but grooming is done on a regular schedule. The Mt Spokane Snowline (238-4025) has the most recent information, although you can never be 100% certain until you get to the mountain.
Grooming update Jan 5, 2009: As of January 5, there are many inches of snow on the trails. The Bombardier machine has been out with a failed fuel pump, but should be repaired by Tuesday, Jan 6. SNSEF volunteers did groom on the 3rd and 4th for the Racing Team and Nordic Kids and the tracksetter is now working. We hope to concentrate on the JOQ course(look under "Sterling Pursuit" link) this week, using the warmer weather to pack down a firm deck. The snow so far has been as compressable as styrofoam peanuts-not very! Our back up plan is to hire one of the Alpine area groomers if our Bombardier is not repaired promply.
